Products Description
D-allulose(D-阿洛酮糖)
D-allulose is a low-calorie functional sweetener that provides a taste very similar to sucrose, with almost zero calories, and offers benefits for blood sugar and lipid metabolism.
As a naturally occurring "rare sugar," D-allulose has gained significant global attention in the food industry. In July 2025, it was officially approved as a new food ingredient in China.
Key Benefits & Effects
Ideal Low-Calorie Sweetener: It has about 70% of the sweetness of sucrose, but with only ~0.4 kcal per gram (about 1/10th of sugar). Its taste is clean and natural, without the bitter aftertaste or metallic notes found in many other sweeteners.
Helps Stabilize Blood Sugar: With a glycemic index (GI) near zero, D-allulose does not spike blood sugar. It works by inhibiting the alpha-glucosidase enzyme in the gut, slowing carbohydrate digestion and absorption, thereby helping control post-meal blood sugar rises.
Aids Weight Management: Research suggests D-allulose not only contributes negligible calories but may also help reduce fat accumulation by suppressing liver lipogenic enzyme activity and increasing post-meal fat oxidation.
Provides Functional "Sugar" Properties: Unlike most alternative sweeteners, D-allulose participates in the Maillard reaction (browning) and caramelization. This means baked goods made with it (breads, cakes) achieve desirable color and aroma—something erythritol cannot do.
Main Applications
Food & Beverage Industry:
Bakery Products: Provides sweetness, promotes browning, and retains moisture.
Beverages: Suitable for sodas, coffee, teas, offering clean sweetness without calories.
Confections & Desserts: Used in hard/soft candies, chocolate, ice cream. Lowers freezing point to create smoother ice cream texture.
Dairy Products: Yogurt, flavored milk, etc.
Medical Foods & Health Products:
Its blood sugar and lipid benefits make it suitable for developing functional foods for diabetic or obese individuals.
Home Cooking: Can be used like regular sugar, especially in braised dishes for caramelized color.
